The HealWell® Grip Splint WHFO (Wrist Hand Finger Orthosis) is useful in treating mild to moderate non-flexed contractures of the hand, wrist and fingers and provides therapeutic positioning of a paralyzed or injured hand or wrist. The Grip Splint maintains a neutral position of the hand to reduce wrist flexion and increase extension of the fingers, preventing finger flexion and damage to the palmar skin. Not intended to immobilize the wrist or hand but to comfortably maintain proper hand and wrist position. Inner fabric wicks moisture away from the skin to preserve skin integrity. Includes two palmar rolls (1.5" and 1.75") to accommodate various levels of finger contracture or hand sizes and/or offer progressive extension of the fingers. Features two adjustable padded straps and a one-piece washable removable cover. Not intended to immobilize the wrist or hand.

Care Instructions:
Unfasten closures and remove the cover from the plastic base. Refasten all closures and insert the cover in the mesh laundry bay provided. Machine wash in gentle cycle with mild soap. Air-dry away from heat. Ensure the cover is completely dry before reapplying.

This product should be used by order or under the supervision of a medical professional. The Grip Splint should be routinely checked and a skin assessment performed. Do not use on a fixed contracture or when there is excessive swelling or pain. Discontinue use and consult a physician if pain, swelling or unusual reactions are experienced. This device is only one element in the overall treatment program. There is no guarantee that injury will be cured or prevented through use of this product.
