When renting a life sustaining piece of equipment, make sure you are renting from a
company that you can count on for support if you should need the extra help.
Pick-up and delivery available in most cases. We also offer rental equipment while you wait
for your repairs to be completed. We service Invacare, Pride, Merits and many other popular brands.
During delivery, you are educated on safe product use and maintenance by our certified
medical staff. We always follow-up with you to ensure you have the products and supplies
you need and that they are being used correctly and safely.
We ship each order with our proprietary "Safe Product Use and Maintenance Education Pieces."
Rules and Guidelines
Rental period is from the date the unit is scheduled to arrive at the renter's
address to the data the renter ships the unit back to Better Living Now.
We recommend that the renter have the unit arrive one (1) day before they plan to leave.
For renters who need shipping
Shipping for all rentals is $45.00
There is a 7 day minimum on all shipped rentals
The renter pays for shipping
Better Living Now will enclose a prepaid shipping label for return shipment
Better Living Now will include instructions and packing materials
The renter re-packages the rental in the original packaging for return shipment
The renter attaches the prepaid label for return shipment
The renter can dropoff the unit at UPS, Staples or Office Max
Alternatively, the renter can call UPS for a pick up
The pickup is at an additional $6 cost to the renter (charged by UPS)
For walk-up renters
Rental period starts from when the unit is picked up to the date the unit is returned
There are no shipping charges for the renter who picks up and drops off the rented equipment
There is a 4 day minimum on all local rentals
For one way renters (i.e., hospital patient traveling)
All one way rentals require Better Living Now to ship a box with shipping materials
(or the customers take the box with them.)
Terms and Conditions
Equipment is provided to patient in good working condition, free of any known defects
at the time it leaves our facility. In no event will Better Living Now, Inc. be held
liable for any damages including, but not limited to, death and hospitalization
caused by equipment failure.
Equipment can fail and it is the patient's responsibility to maintain any
required emergency back up(s) at their intended destination(s). Better Living Now, Inc.
recommends traveling with any required prescription(s) on the renter's person in case of an emergency.
Indemnity
The renter agrees to protect, indemnify and hold harmless Better Living Now, Inc.
from and against all claims damages and costs including legal expenses arising
out of the renter's use of equipment.
Warranty
Better Living Now, Inc. implies no warranty, either written or verbal, expressed
or implied on the equipment rented. The equipment is suitable for normal operation
at the time it leaves Better Living Now's premises. Better Living Now, Inc. will
not be held liable for equipment failure in any way.
Deposit
Better Living Now, Inc. will not be held liable for any costs associated with
equipment failure. The security deposit reserve will be held and used against
any damage costs or losses incurred during the rental period. Failure to return
any or all of the equipment will be charged against the reserve deposit.
Shipping
Standard rental includes shipping to and from renter. It is the renter's
responsibility to have equipment packed and ready for return shipment by
return date listed on the rental agreement. Failure to return equipment
will result in additional weekly rental charges or outright purchase based
on cost price. If renter chooses to purchase equipment after rental period,
rental charges can be applied towards purchase price.
Cancellation
If the equipment ships prior to cancellation, renter will be charged a $150.00 cancellation fee.
Reminders
Notify Better Living Now immediately if you wish to extend the rental period
Equipment not returned on time will be charged at $100.00 / day
Any damages to the equipment will be charged per the rental agreement
Equipment returned smelling of smoke will be charged a $500.00 damaged equipment fee
Flying with oxygen equipment is subject to individual airline policy
